ABOUT THE TRAINER
RYAN DOWD
Most de-escalation training starts too late. Ryan Dowd’s doesn’t.
After 20+ years as Executive Director of Hesed House — one of the Chicago area’s largest homeless shelters — Ryan built a training philosophy around a simple idea: prevent the conflict before it starts.
His methods are grounded in real-world experience managing some of the most volatile situations any organization can face. And because he knows employees won’t engage with training they don’t want to watch, every module is built to be direct, practical, and genuinely worth their time.
